Lent Madness? Oh come on! You're not following some of the best competition EVER!?
Just a quick recap of what’s been going on during Lent Madness…trash takin’ Saints vying for the “Golden Halo”.
Two “Greats" duked it out, but only Albert the Great won his match against Leo.
Joan of Arc didn’t have a chance fighting the founder of the Salvation Army and she got trounced in stunning fashion. Oh I could say Joan was “burned up” at the competition, but I wouldn’t stoop that low.
And if you’re a beer lover and believe in its medicinal powers over wine, then you would have been pleased that Arnulf of Metz beat Vincet of Saragossa.
Oh, yes and Mathias, who won the vote by the Apostles to replace Judas didn’t do so well in the very first day of the Lent Madness competition.
Nobody said there can’t be some fun AND learning during Lent and Lent Madness is just the venue for fund and education.
ust log on to www.lentmadness.org and participate in the daily voting of which Saint deserves to move through the brackets. Join the HTOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of folks worldwide who are involved in this fun event.
And don’t forget to read Mike Owens’ weekly blog. As Mike stated in his 2nd Blog, “I decided this would be a good opportunity to see how the lives of these holy people reflected the fruit of the Holy Spirit.” No pun intended, but his Blog is really food for thought and how the Holy Spirit’s impacted the lives of the 32 Saints in this year’s competition.
