Larry and I will celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary on December 8, 2013. Each year we reminisce about our 1990 wedding at St. James' on a crisp clear December morning.
We had attended many worship services at St. James' before choosing it as our wedding venue. When visiting the church, we were really drawn to the warmth and closeness of its parish community. We felt so welcomed from day one. That warmth still exists today.
Since 1990, we have had three children baptized and confirmed at St. James'. What great memories for them to know their parents were actually married in the worship space they experience today.
The grounds at St. James' are unmatched in the area. They are historic, beautiful and perfect for a backdrop for a wedding---no matter how intimate or large in scale. Gleason Hall (which was not built at the time we got married) offers an area for a festive reception adjacent to the wedding ceremony.
We have wonderful memories of our wedding day at St. James'. It was certainly the best choice for us to start our married life together with Christ.
