Our Deacon, The Rev. Dr. Mary Abrams, facilitated the reading of the Bible in 90 Days from July through September in 2018. Her helpful guidance, combined with the dedication and determination of the class, made a rewarding experience which continues to edify and nourish the St James congregation.
Reading the Bible in 90 Days with parishioners and visitors at St James Episcopal Church enriched my personal spiritual devotion. The experience helped me feel a sense of belonging to my new faith community.
Being a newcomer, only being at St. James since March, I felt so grateful for the open sharing and serious inquiry offered during the weekly reviews. The sense of accomplishment and celebration makes me proud for the effort exerted and the relationships built by undertaking this transformative challenge.
