Thoughts from the Staff during our Covid19 Crisis

Joseph R. John March 21, 2020

Here’s a brainstorm we had about sharing thoughts with all of you as each day goes by during this crisis that tries the souls and minds of all of us.

At the end of the Dan Patrick show every day (a renowned sports journalist and broadcaster), he does a round robin of his staff and asks the question “So what did you learn today?” One or two sentence snippets from each of the Danettes and Dan himself. It;s kinda’ cool.

We thought we could do they same thing at St. James, involving our staff — at least at first. If this idea gets legs, We may be extending out to the congregation to share their snippets of “What I learned today.” Enjoy.

Elizabeth

I learned that I can learn things I don't want to.

Debbie

I learned that you should not take Tylenol after the expiration date on the bottle. I learned that it is fun taking a walk with a friend using FaceTime.  I walked 3 miles today.

Joe

I learned that we should NEVER lose our sense of humor. Humor is good for the soul

Mary

I learned that gumbo is good.

Teresa

I learned the joy of anticipation, anticipation of something as simple as the joy of hearing a children’s story being read to little ones. Thank you Elizabeth for the invite to your story time!
